toddler : 16-17 months {and a story about a birthday}

posted on: Monday, August 12, 2013

Ohmy, I'm a wee bit behind with the lady's toddler updates.

So instead of a recount on how she behaved or how I was feeling or a list of milestones achieved, I have one little anecdote that will have to suffice for remembering her 16-17th month.

Because I do want to remember the little things even if they include poo smeared all over my white tee-shirt on my 35th birthday. Yes, that happened.

But also what happened is that she gave me a present (apart from the poop), she chose that day to put two words together for the first time.

'Happy day! Happy day!' she said over and over, all day long.

And it was.

p.s catch-up post of 17-18 months coming up.

  3. Cute!! I've been trying to get my 17-month old to say "Mommy is Happy" with no luck! She will say them apart but not together. The only words she's put together are, "I'm dirty." Hahaha

  5. Jarvis is 20 months and barely says one word, so your clever girl did give you a great gift. Besides the poo. Yes it has happened to me as well. Also Justin, he had an important client he was meeting but in the rush to get there, he did not notice the poo smear up his arm.

      and re: speaking the teen was the same, he didn't really speak until he was 3. BUT he never smeared poop on me either ;)
