A portrait of one or more of my children once a week, every week in 2013.

Him: Goofing around like the fun lovin' fella he is. We learnt from last week and this week have kept busy with planned outings to the museum, the library and the like.

Her: At last she speaks! New words this week: shoe, teddy, puppy, hi, uh-oh and bap bap (apple), join more, mummeee, daddy, ta, um um (yum) and bubee (baby).

Lovely portraits elsewhere: little old ladies on Living on Love, little lotus on Flourish and big delight on oscarlucinda

Joining in with Jodi's 52 week portrait project.

  1. Cute leggings on such a cheeky girl. Talking? Hmm makes me wonder if Jarvis ever will talk.

    1. aren't little stripey legs the best?
I was starting to wonder that with rose too. the kiddo was a really early talker but the teen didn't really talk much until he was about 3. they're all different. her new word for the day is purple which sounds like 'burpburp'. ha!

  2. It is really so lovely to see the two of them together...I know I have said it before but if we have another there will be a big-ish age gap and so it makes me so happy to see the joy your two so obviously get from each other!

    1. they really do. and the older kids try so hard with the younger ones (the teen was/is also fabulous with the kiddo, although he does his own thing more these days) even when the younger one takes their toy or does something that annoys their older sibling the older one, be it the kiddo or the teen tries really hard to share and teach the younger one about sharing too, which they can do because the age gap is so big. but they still all love rumbling with each other. it's adorable.

    1. well, only just talking. I'm not sure anyone outside of the family would understand her yet, but it is still so exciting when a new word pops out :)
