A portrait of one/some/all of my children once a week, every week in 2013.

Him: What are his favourite toys? His plush orangutan, squid, bunny and  -- a pinecone. And here I was thinking he might say his colouring markers or Star Wars Lego.
"But my pinecone is my absolute favourite," he clarified.
Why?
"Because I can put glitter on it, and ribbons on it, and make it pretty."

Lovely portraits elsewhere this week: Audrey May taking a little stroll on Being Mumma, snug as a bug on One Bubble Two, and a loving couple on Iliska Dreams

Joining in with Jodi's 52 week portrait project.

    1. actually, now that I think about it I made up a skit for year 6 drama class that was all about pinecones. there was a song and everything. BUT I have never told the kiddo this. I think I should.

  6. I love that he loves his pinecone! Shows such imagination. And that image of his with it, wow, how his lashes are brushing his cheeks, so precious.

  7. Well, aren't they just beautiful photos. Trouble rarely lets me take photos of him...he so often sees camera and makes a beeline. I have many photos of him reaching up to the lens. And I love the toy collection. :) (and the bedroom wall)

    1. rose will try to grab the camera too...but I think they are just so accustomed to me snapping away, most of the time they love it (or ignore it). I will get the occasional, 'no photos!' from the kiddo, but on this occasion he was more than happy to show me his faves :)
