A portrait of one/some/all of my children once a week, every week in 2013.

On Easter Sunday.

Her: Pretty much exactly what she looked like a few days earlier, except instead of standing on the bed, she had climbed up on the dining room table. And instead of holding a pillow, she was waving her brother's colouring markers in the air.

Him: Wading in a rock pool at our local beach, that funny time in autumn when the water can feel warmer than the air.

Lovely portraits elsewhere this week: a mid-week mermaid on Little Wolff, decorating windows for Easter at Expatria Baby, and a quintessential baby moment on The Night Bakery.

Joining in with Jodi's 52 week portrait project.

  3. Adorable! The climbing is such a scary thing, Eve climbs the bathroom cabinet and sits in the sink if I forget to close the bathroom door.
Thanks for the link, I'm glad you like the picture!

  4. Rose, what a delight! I'm touching wood as we speak, but Sassy is yet to do the climbing on tables thing. Weird, as it is SO in her personality to do something like that...and how delicious has our warm, warm Autumn been? x

    1. oh, I hope sassy doesn't! I was so surprised. I was in the shower and I heard the kiddo yelling, 'muuum! muum!' I ran out of the shower and he was saying, 'rose is on the table. I told her to get down but she wouldn't'. I thought he must mean the little coffee table. then I saw her on the dining room table, grinning at us and waving his textas above her head, one in each hand.
well. it was pretty hard not to laugh or run and get my camera. I managed to keep a straight face and put her back down, but just quietly, running for the camera was my first instinct. oh dear.

And the weather has been perfect for the beach...glad you have been enjoying the warm sun!

I thought we had passed through the climbing stage...but it is back with a vengeance!

it's funny how much I forget about the stages once they've passed...the kiddo climbed a lot but never on the table that I recall. I hope toddler C stays earthbound more often than not!
