3/52
A portrait of my children once a week, every week in 2013.
Her: Digging in the dirt at the playground. At nearly 13 months she is into everything.
Him: Getting ready to pick his dad up from the airport. He drew our house, then himself and his sister on either side of me, then his dad, then his big brother, who has also been away.
When the time came he stood super straight by the arrival gate, welcome board before him, and waited. Maybe the best thing about travelling for work is being reunited again.
Joining in with Jodi's 52 week portrait project.

Beautiful photos. Lovely story about waiting for Dad at the airport. We will have this moment in a few months when my husband comes home, we are counting down the weeks till then.
ReplyDeletethank you holli. being apart must be very hard sometimes, I hope the reunion comes before you know it!
DeleteOh the sign! So precious!...I bet Dad was pretty chuffed with his welcome party x
ReplyDeletehe really, really was. it was a great homecoming. (not in the least because I got us to the airport on time, a feat in itself!)
DeleteWhat a lovely way to welcome someone loved!
ReplyDeletethank you gabriela :)
DeleteI adore that sign! Kellie xx
ReplyDeletethanks kellie! I love watching him draw. and it was very cool at the airport to see all the tall besuited men standing in a row with their official name signs, then this guy, less than half their size, holding his little sign and waiting for his dad to come home.
