baby : 7 months

Just quietly, we hadn't really babyproofed the living room yet. I know, I know.

Even though she's been wiggling backwards and doing her own version of baby yoga for quite a while we were taken a little by surprise last week.

One day the lady still wasn't sitting up on her own, then the next day she was, and then the day after that she was crawling and trying to pull herself up. On the lounge, on the toy trunk, on the random camera tripod sitting in the corner of the living room. Oops.

Let's just say that it was very lucky that I happened to be walking past just as miss lady pulled herself up on the tripod. I lunged for it as it started to fall while she held on and swung around and under the centre pole -- she wasn't letting go for anyone. After I had steadied it she just kept hanging on. Upside down.

Ohmy lady.

she loves sticking out her tongue and making la, la, las and i! sounds. very cute.

She does bump her head from time to time when she's scooting about the house but seems unfazed by this so far. I can't say the same about her reaction to the hideous head cold that she had for 15 days. Who knew a cold could last that long in a tiny babe? Especially when she's being breastfed. But hang around it did, causing all manner of  disruptions to her sleep. Sad face. When she was sleeping she was so blocked up that she sounded like a little old man snoring.

We used a cool mist humidifier in her room and a baby nose spray to try to clear her nose a bit. She was kind of cute with the nose spray -- she didn't like the nozzle going up her nose but liked the water going down her throat (through her nose) so she'd kind of stick her face forward like she was getting a drink of water. Ha.

Thank goodness she is all better now and acting like her sprightly old self.

If you fancy catching up on the lady's babyhood here is when she started rolling, 6 months, 5 months, 4 months, 3 months, 2 months, 1 month and newborn.

  2. Oh beautiful little Rose. She's getting so big and clever! Sage too has suddenly become a mover, seemingly overnight! Not quite crawling, but miraculously makes her way from one end of the lounge room to the other at a rapid pace. Adore the frankie map, we had ours pinned up in the bathroom for the longest time - thought it may assist my geographical knowledge, but no! :-)

    1. I love that map and couldn't figure out exactly why...then I realised it's because it's grid-free. ahh, the relief of the removal of tiny boxes.

  8. Ohhhh, poor little babe, it is so sad when they're sick and struggling to breathe at night, tough times for all involved. Glad she is on the mend now though. Absolutely beautiful pics and it sounds like she's coming along in leaps and bounds. Amazing how they seem to teach themselves to do things overnight. What a lovely age xo

  13. Poor bub :( I feel so sorry for bubs when they have colds they just can't seem to shake. I remember Sophie had one a while back that lingered too and affected her sleep. Your little miss has definitely wasted no time in the crawling department - go Rose!! x

  14. Theresa Racht, a Manhattan co-op lawyer, said that it had
not been unusual for borrowers who pay back their share loans to get
a UCC-3 form off their lender and then are not able to file it pay day loans the contract ought to be transparent however,
many lenders don't disclose all the clauses.
