This past weekend I wanted to head out to Rozelle Markets for a peaceful morning of thrifting. Unsure of how much peace I was actually going to get with the preschooler and lady in tow, I introduced the preschooler to the concept of the treasure hunt (which is really what it is for us grownups as well, true?). I gave him one dollar for each of his years to choose anything he'd like. He was all about it. He chose a plastic truck. I chose these goodies.
A Fiep Westendorp puzzle for $3 AUD.

Do you take your wee one's treasure hunting? How much do you let them spend? (And how do you steer them away from the fantastic plastic?) I'd love to hear.
