Vintage chic. Sara of Sadie Olive runs an online boutique, design and photography business and an Etsy store. You can read all about her adventures here.

who lives here?
This beautiful space is ready to be filled! Sara and her husband have been waiting for a baby via adoption and recently they received wonderful news -- a baby boy is on the way (due in July).

Much of the décor (Goose Push Toy, Books, Printers Drawer, Shoe Forms) within this room is vintage and the brown bear belonged to Sara's mum. The curtains, lamp, chandelier, crown moulding shelves, and hamper were all from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids, the butterfly mobile was from Etsy, the changing pad and cover and organic sheets were from Babies R Us, the Lamb and Wonder pillows and fabric garland on the curtains were from Periwinkle Bloom, the Wooden Goose on the wall was from Wisteria and the large brown baskets were from Crate and Barrel.

Turtle Dove by Behr paint was used on the walls, while Swiss Coffee also by Behr, was used on the wainscoting and doors.

The green dresser was a vintage find, the crib was from Pottery Barn Kids and the white cabinet was from The Land of Nod.

Sara designed the bedding herself and had help from her in-laws in sewing them up. Together they created the cot skirt and bumper from vintage manglecloth, organic sherpa and lace.

best buys
The cot was on clearance when Sara purchased it, "I am so happy I did -- I just love the grey. We also used many items we already owned in decorating the nursery. The cabinet from the Land of Nod, I bought six years ago, and it works perfectly in the nursery. The lamp, chandelier, and curtains were also items we already had, but moved them from other rooms to complete the space."

top tip
"There are tons of amazing organic and natural baby lines these days with beautiful neutral colour palettes. Spend some time searching for quality items, and don’t be afraid to use a few vintage pieces."

Thank you Sara, for sharing your space with baby space!
