fun stuff (sort of) : parcel in the mail

posted on: Friday, May 6, 2011

One day we were having breakfast when we heard a thump at the front door. It was a parcel for the preschooler.

He ripped it open, 'read' the card and looked at the cover of the beautiful book from his faraway friend Sophie.

I asked him if he wanted me to read him the book. He said, 'No.'

'Why?'
'Because I miss them.'

A few days later he still doesn't want me to read the book. He did agree to send Sophie a present though. He had a very specific idea of what it should be...

  1. What a wise son (potential thief, but wise!).

I think I know that book, and it is quite sad. It would make any sensitive soul shed a tear.
