Guess who just had a birthday? The Baby Space toddler is now three!
And it just so happened that last week I won this Printable Vintage Kitty Birthday Collection by Free Pretty Things For You from It's Simple Love. Thanks Keren and Rachael!
I chose a blue, red and white colour scheme and took inspiration from this sweet outdoor setting by scissors.paper.cake especially because I knew we'd be in the park. It was lovely to be by the pond and we even saw a shy turtle sunning himself on a rock.
I found the cups, candles, platters and popcorn buckets at a local party store and had already ordered the festive cake bunting by Kiki La Ru and the nostalgic striped straws online from Mon Tresor.
Who can resist lollies (or candy) from their childhood? Not me. We chose Chico babies, Snakes, Strawberries and Cream, Bananas and (not pictured here) Jaffas. I popped them into recycled glass jars and tied twine with a PTFY circle tag or circle sticker (made just by using double sided tape) on each one.
The kids enjoyed running around, playing musical instruments and playing make-believe. Here's the wee man of the hour with his fave girl Sophie (her lovely mama Katie can be read over at Grow.Cook.Sew).So now he's three. Does this mean I have to start referring to him as the Baby Space preschooler? Surely not.
What about you? Do you have any party planning of your own in store?

Everything looks beautiful, and the surroundings are amazing!! Happy bday to the little one!
