An eclectic gathering of plush creatures watch over four-year-old Silke's room.
Her favourite thing? "The wooden doll house which came with the furniture and dolls. So many happy hours of playing," revealed mum, Hanne. "Amazing!"
Vintage Scandinavian. Architect and graphic design duo, Hanne and Tobias of What We Do applied their love of flea-market-finds to shape their daughter's playful room.
who lives here?
Silke (it's the Danish word for 'silk') age 4 (but age 2 when the pictures were taken) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Hanne and Tobias bought the Babushka dolls in Russia and some of the wooden toys are from Brio. However most of the items including the rocking horse, wooden doll house and chalk board, were flea market discoveries. The baby animals that appear on the lamp and the wall are from Hanne and Tobias' Zooper Pets range.

The wallpaper was a fragile vintage find from a now defunct Belgian online store and the Zooper Pets animals over Silke's bed were constructed from gift-wrapping and vintage wallpaper.
The bed and little white shelf are from Ikea, the chest of drawers was found at a Danish flea market.
Hanne and Tobias designed and built the large floor-to-ceiling wardrobe from MDF boards and included a railing system for the sliding doors.
The funky ceiling lamp was constructed from semi-transparent plastic bought in a book store and decorated with Zooper Pets. The wee softies are home-sewn and the floral apron-dress hanging on the wall is also homemade with vintage fabric bought on Etsy.
"Definitely the vintage wallpapers from Belgium."
baby space fave
The vintage wallpaper! How could it not be? Also the handmade softies.
Hanne says, "Colour, colour, colour and don't be afraid to mix old, new, and custom made/home made items."
Thanks so much Hanne, Tobias and Silke for sharing your space with Baby Space!
