So it is with immense delight (and jealousy because I cannot be the recipient) that I announce we are giving away my favourite KLT:works piece!
The All About Birds mobile handmade by artist Kristin Loffer Theiss, valued at $93 AUD or $85 USD.The birds and nests begin life as original thread drawings by Kristin that are then silkscreened on to cotton twill fabric. On the reverse side of each bird and nest are hand printed fabrics designed and made by Helen Rawlinson. Impressed? Me too.

After a very stressful week with 2 pre-schoolers and dealing with big aftershocks this could really put a smile on my face.

they remind me of my brothers artwork- he has his own studio in sydney and also teaches art to senior girls at an independent sydney high school....with us being in the uk i'm always drawn towards pieces that remind me of him...

ReplyDeleteI have a little bub who just adores birds. He crawls onto the deck and watches them fly buy. He always laughs when he hears one chirp. He would be wrapt to gaze up in his cot to these cool birds. The best part is that these birds wont leave droppings everywhere :P
