A low queen bed was added to the nursery so that mum and bub could co-sleep in comfort.
Mum, Courtney, decorated a paper lamp from Ikea with delicate paper butterflies made from dictionary pages.
The handmade doll commissioned from Laura Normandin was the key item that inspired the feel of the room.
Gentle, crafty and a lil' whimsical.
who lives here?
Lucie, now 3 years (then newborn) in Michigan, USA.
The wall paint is discontinued but Benjamin Moore do a very similar shade called Early Morning.
Most of the details in Lucie's nursery have a personal touch. Courtney made the curtains from muslin and an Urban Outfitters bedspread, and the decorative pillowcases from Liberty of London fabric. When it came to the bedside, Courtney made a decoupage piece by painting an unfinished table from Ikea. She chose a buttermilk shade an added a blown-up print of a vintage dress pattern.
Courtney opted for a queen mattress to co-sleep with Lucie and employed a body pillow as a cushy headboard. The lamb chair below the window was a gift from babystyle.com

The decorative clothesline running around the room with teeny tiny dolls clothes - so cute and an unusual.
Plan ahead. Most of the elements in Lucie's room were projects that Courtney worked on over several months.
